Wie immer, wenn man einen großen Preis gewinnt *räusper* oder irgend etwas passiert, was so … in der Form … nicht vorhersehbar war, interessiert sich die Presse dafür, was auch immer die Presse für einen Blogger sein mag.

I guess I lied a bit when I said that The Usual Madness would premiere in Münster on the 6th of December as the supporting movie for the E.O.F.T. Now it is going to premiere – one week earlier – on the 29th of November in Korb / Stuttgart at Moves ‘n’ Movies, the first German film festival for climbing movies and here’s what I found in my mailbox earlier today from the festival committee.
Wir hatten insgesamt 19 Einsendungen, viele davon von nicht- bis semi-professionellen Nachwuchsfilmern. Insgesamt vier davon werden wir am 29. November prämieren, im Abendprogramm zeigen werden wir 9 der 19 Filme. […] Euer Film “The Usual Madness” ist dabei in die engere Auswahl gekommen, wir werden ihn beim Filmfestival zeigen. Welche Filme wir am 29. November tatsächlich prämieren werden, können wir euch aber verständlicherweise noch nicht sagen. Es soll ja noch ein bisschen spannend bleiben für alle.
Of course we are more than flabbergasted and off to Stuttgart in two weeks to attend the whole thing. A detailed report will follow. 😉

Very early in the morning the promotion material for the E.O.F. Tour arrived today. From the looks of it, it’s gonna be a lot of great movies again. From slacklining in the Hell Roaring Canyon of Utah, to Kajaking in the US, extreme biking in Canada and an expedition in the Himalaya – it’s all gonna be great pictures with tons of weirdos doing insane stuff.
This years climbing movie will be about the “urban rocks” in Swiss cities. Well, who would have figured that this could actually be the topic of the year? – Of course us!
This is why you’ll have the ultimate chance to see the locally produced movie “The usual madness” as a premovie of the whole festival. Assuming that it will be the only movie:
– recorded in 3:4 AND 16:9
– on mini-DV
– showing off some of Münsters’ best bouldering spots
– with an exclusively produced soundtrack
– sometimes sucking cuts
– but VERY funny people.
